Talk to your kids who turn 18 about how to vote. Teach them how to get informed and what resources they have at their disposal.
My oldest turned 18 this year and we have talked about … VOTING. It’s my responsibility to help my kid learn how to get informed so she can make good decisions. I encourage, and this is the key here, TRUST that my daughter can decide for herself who she wants to vote for based on all of the available information she can find.
As we see more and more these days, EVERY position that one can vote for has potential consequences. The person elected brings folks on staff that may or may not do a good job.
When I get my booklet/brochure back from my daughter I’ll dive in and start making decisions to fill out on my ballot. I’ll be ready.
